The Wachau56 is certainly the most challenging of the four routes of the Wachau Trail. At 56.7 km and with an elevation gain of +2526 m / an elevation loss of -2541 m, it is a true ultramarathon, varied and with many highlights along the route.

Hikers and trail runners are particularly challenged on the first 8 km with its many meters of elevation gain; here it is important to conserve energy in order to easily cover the entire distance home.

The hikers will start at 6:00 AM; please don't forget your headlamps, as it will still be dark at that time.

The true voyage of discovery is not about exploring new places, but about looking at the world with a new perspective.

Impressions from the Trail

After registering, you will receive an email with a download link to the GPX track of the route. This is primarily intended so that you can view the routes in advance or train for them.

Please note, however, that there may be changes to the route shortly before the event. A few days before the event, we will therefore make the most current tracks available for download again.

We look forward to seeing you.
