The finish line for all distances, WACHAU10, WACHAU24, WACHAU34 , WACHAU56, WACHAU77, WACHAU101 and WACHAU160, is located in KREMS an der Donau in the city park.

START TIMES
The start times for the Wachau Trail are determined by the different paces of hikers and runners. For hikers and runners on the WACHAU10, WACHAU24, and WACHAU34 distances, the start times are the same. The exceptions are the WACHAU56, WACHAU77, and WACHAU101. Only runners are permitted on the WACHAU160; participation as a hiker is not possible in 2026.
The hikers of the WACHAU56 start at 06:00 am and the runners at 08:00 am.
The hikers of WACHAU77 start on October 2nd, 2026 at 10:00 PM and the runners on October 3rd, 2026 at 4:00 AM. The hikers of WACHAU101 start on October 2nd, 2026 at 8:00 PM and the runners on October 3rd, 2026 at 2:00 AM.
Hikers can decide at their own discretion what time/date they would like to start.
If you can't find a suitable start time or don't want to start with others for other reasons, you can start whenever you want.
Please also keep an eye on the opening hours of the refreshment stations to choose the right pace for yourselves.
START PROCEDURES
Wear your start number visibly at the FRONT or BACK so that we can see at the lab stations that you belong there.
On your starting number you will also find a QR code for the start and finish.
Scan the code with your phone camera (NOT an app, but internet access is required), open the LINK (this takes you to your Time2Win account) and press Start - you're ready to go... you can close the app again (no data usage). At the finish, follow the same procedure with the finish QR code. Your time is saved.
Keep your start number – you can log in again at any time and download the finisher certificate.
This is not an official timekeeping and not mandatory!!
The advantage, however, is that you appear in the finisher list and you can download and print your finisher certificate (with your individual time).
