ROUTE MARKING
WACHAU TRAIL
On the day of the event, the entire route is carefully marked – we use signs, tapes and banners for this.
We have developed a special marking concept to clearly distinguish ourselves from other trail markings.
Particularly important junctions are always clearly marked with signs and/or marking tapes so that nobody misses the right way.
Is it really impossible to get lost?
Yes, that can happen! Even while hiking or running, concentration can wane, or you might be so lost in thought that you overlook your surroundings. Weather conditions such as dense fog or snow can also contribute to this.
It's easy to miss a turn.
To be on the safe side, we recommend downloading the GPX track of the route to your phone or sports watch. This way, you can quickly find your way back in an emergency or check whether you are still on the right route.

On the day of the event, the route is marked throughout with signs, marking tapes and along the route from Spitz to the Jauerling (Nature Park House WACHAU56) we have also marked it with reflective spray paint.
We have chosen a very unique design here so that we stand out clearly from the other markings.
Important junctions are always marked with a sign and/or marking tape.
Is it therefore impossible to get lost?
NO! Even when hiking or running, attention sometimes wanes or you become lost in thought. External conditions such as heavy fog, snow, etc. can also play a major role.
A branch can easily be overlooked.
Therefore, as an additional security measure and just in case, please carry the GPX track of the route in question on your mobile phone or watch. This way you can quickly find your way back to the route or reassure yourself that you are still on the original route.
